Hi,

My name is Sandra van der Meyde and I live in Holland. I was born on the 3rd of August in 1980 and I love Gloria since I was a little kid!

I became fan of Gloria because my friend was also fan of her. I didn't know "Gloria Estefan" so I started to buy my first cassette of her: Anything for you. That was great! At that point I became fan. Especially when "can't stay away from you" came into the charts!

I collected everything of her and still do! It is a hobby that has grown to something big!

November 2003 she came to Holland and there was a contest on radio 2. If you emailed some questions for Gloria you could win a meet and greet! So I mailed 20 maybe 30 questions for her!! And YESSSS I became a winner of the meet and greet at November 12th!! It was a really big dream that was coming true!!

It was wonderfull! Gloria is great with her fans! Taking a photo?? no problem for her, Asking some questions?? Also no problem. She is just a normal, great woman!! It was THE experience of my life and I loved it very much!

Then there was Miami... 25th of September 2004. A big concert. We flew all the way from Holland to Miami, just to see her in concert. And then there was hurricane Jeanne...NO concert.. Very sad...

But, I was in Miami: I have met some great Conga people, I have seen Gloria's house, restaurants, buildings etc. Again a dream come true! She (Gloria) drove next to me! And waved!! Wow.. how wonderfull was that!! Again, a great experience!

I have met some great people by Conga-online. People that are friends forever! I know that for sure!
