Hi, My name is Frederick Boggs. I live in Herndon, Virginia. I have been a fan of Gloria Estefan since 1985, the first time I heard "Conga", I liked the song, and I liked her instantly. I have attended concerts on every one of Gloria's tours, from the Primitive Love World Tour back in 1986, thru the lastest tour Live and Rewrapped in 2004. My dream to meet Gloria Estefan in person came in Pittsburgh, Pa (where I used to live), on August 30, 1996, after her concert there on The Evolution Tour. I can remember during that show I was thinking, I really would like to meet Gloria in person. I had wanted to meet her for the previous 11 years from 1985-1996, but did not have the chance. It was just by chance that I met her on August 30, 1996. I was waiting outside the arena in Pittsburgh after the concert, in no particular hurry to get back to my car, because there was a lot of traffic leaving the arena. I was standing in an area in the front of the arena, where people were loading equipment from the concert on to trucks. I will never forget, one of the road crew that was loading equipment saw me standing there, and gave me a suggestion. I had not even spoken to him. He said "If you would like to meet Gloria, you should go around the corner to where you see the champagne colored busses, and just wait over there. I am sure she will come out, and sign some autographs" I was excited, but did not know whether this was true, but it was worth a try. I went over to the busses, and there was a small crowd there, not more than 20 people. I joined the crowd, and sure enough a few minutes later Gloria came out. I coud not believe it . My dream was coming true. I was able to tell her how much I liked the show, and how much I admired her, and that she was an inspiration to me. She signed my tour book, Love, Gloria. I was so excited that night, I will never forget that. Since then I have gone on many Gloria adventures. Gloria knows me by name now,(which I never thought would happen). Dreams do sometimes come true, and mine did on August 30, 1996.
