I've been a member of Conga since the late 1990's... can't really tell you the exact date. I used to sign all my emails "Christy, Teen Fan in Miami"... but now I should be called "Christy, 20-Something Fan in Miami" (actually 22)-- haha! I attended the first annual Conga Bash (1999 I think???) at the Cardozo Hotel, and got a chance to meet Gloria and several other Conga members. Even turns out one of the other Miami fans (Fran Jolie) and I joined the same sorority at different colleges!!

Born & Raised in Miami... I attended high school here... lived in Gainesville for 4 years during college, and graduated from the University of Florida in Dec.2004... but now I'm back in the Magic City as a Producer at a Miami television station. Life, college and now my career havn't allowed me to be as dedicated of a Conga participant as I once was... but my love for Gloria's music is unfaltering. I can pop in any of her CD's in my car, and sing along to every single song as if I heard them yesterday... and *that* is what I love about her music-- there's something for every one of my moods.
