I am Chantal van Luijk, I am 25 years old (2007) and I live in Delft, an old, relatively small city in the Netherlands. It is the hometown of the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer (painter of "girl with a pearl earring"). Since about one year I work as a doctor in a big, non-academic hospital. One day I hope to become an ophthalmologist, but that's another long way to go.

I have been a fan of Gloria from the age of nine. My four years older cousin had the "Cuts Both Ways" album on tape and although I already knew most of Gloria's hits at that time, she got me trapped in the Gloria music and from then I started buying all new albums and in little time my collection had become bigger than hers. My cousin didn't care a bit anymore about Glo's music but I still got trapped although I must say that I let go the obsessive side of being fan years ago.

In november 2003 I had the great pleasure of meeting Gloria at her "Unwrapped" promotion tour in the Netherlands. All of the statements are true: she sure is a great and friendly person :o).

I have seen the Evolution concert in 1996 and although we all know chances are getting smaller and smaller, like all of you I am still very much hoping for enjoying one of Gloria's concerts again.
