Name: Anne Rasmussen-Chiles
Birthday: 15 January 1972
Born in: Sønderborg, Denmark
Resident in: Flensburg, Germany
I have been an Este-FAN since 1986 / 1987. The first album I ever bought MYSELF
(for my birthday money!) was Primitive Love but it wasn't really until I first
saw the Home Coming Concert on video that I realized how much of a fan I was.
Since then I have steadily built up quite a handsome collection of Gloria
material.
My admiration for Gloria as a person and a singer & song-writer continues to
grow and I find it near enough impossible to chose just one favourite song.
Live For Loving You, Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Con Los Anos and Como me duele
perderte are just a few on the top of my list though.
Most of my life pretty much evolves around my daughter, Nathalie (born February
2001) who herself is turning into a bit of an EsteFAN - after the Conga Bash in
Miami in 2004, her favourite song is ‘I just wanna be happy’ which she listens
to a lot :-)
In 2005, after 13 years of living in the UK I returned to my family on the
Danish / German border. Nathalie now attends school and I am studying for a
Masters Degree in European Studies at the University of Southern Denmark which
is a 2-year course commencing in the autumn of 2006. To fund my studies, I also
work part-time as a Personal Assistant in a garage which, with 6 mechanics, a
foreman and an antiquated coffee maker is only a split second away from a
bundle of giggles!
I'm a keen writer, and have not one but 3 novels on the go. My muse – with all
the ‘extracurricular’ stuff going on in my life – keeps deserting me and
pitching up tent in Moody Alley so any writing I do these days is in fits &
starts: a weeks or so of intense writing followed by prolonged ink drought. To
maintain some level of discipline (and because it is fun) I write rather a lot
of poetry so if you are interested, please visit my online portfolio at
