"Hi there everyone on the Conga list!" 03/25/98
This was Gloria's official "introduction" to the list, where she confirmed that she was in fact reading some of our messages, and had been responding to some members in private. For those who remember, there had been great controversy about whether it was really her sending the emails, so her humor in this email is related to that. Some members questioning her identity felt that Gloria wouldn't use the abbreviation "gonna" in an email, so you'll see her poking fun at that as well, if you look closely. A few days after she sent this email, she appeared on the Rosie O'Donnell show, mentioned the Conga list, and reassured us on live television that it was in fact really her who was emailing us! LOL.

In this message, Gloria thanks Conga for the "You Know You're an EsteFAN if..." book we gave her for Christmas in 1999. In fact, she even comes up with one of her own! LOL. She also gave us some inside information into her upcoming Spanish album (Alma Caribeña).
