| Firstly, it's a totally new "studio" album. What makes it "live" is that the core musicians, drums, bass, guitar and percussion recorded together in the studio at the same time. I also sang all the songs at the same time they were recording in the studio. This makes it a "live" album because although we had arrangements, each musician, who was specifically chosen for their style, brings something to each take and we really played off each other, creating spontaneity. The songs are all brand new. We've recorded 14 new tracks in English but I'm not certain they will all make the final cut. Right now we love all of them but we'll see. There will be three or four Spanish versions. I can tell you that I'm sure you will all LOVE it! I have written all the lyrics in English and a lot of the music. It's an extremely personal project for me and has been the easiest and most rewarding album of my career. (Just can't get away from that "album" word) Anyway, I hope this helps a little with all the questions. I wanted you all to be the first to know about it. We'll also try to give you guys some exclusives before anything comes out. Please give my love to everyone! |
