For Gloria's 43rd birthday on September 1, 2000, the members of Conga Online raised almost three thousand dollars in donations to the Gloria Estefan Foundation. The gift was inspired and accomplished by our own Susan Quintana, who put many hours of time and effort into this project as part of an ongoing fundraiser for Gloria's Foundation. The total donation raised and sent to Gloria for her birthday was an impressive $2,886.00. Thanks to everyone who generously donated their money toward the Gloria Estefan Foundation in honor of her birthday!!!! Gloria received the check in a book of cards sent in from Conga members. To take up all that extra room in the box... :) we also sent Gloria a Teddy Bear dressed in his very own "Conga Online" t-shirt, and with an overnight bag packed with a nightshirt saying "The Unofficial Substitute for Emilio". It was just too cute to resist!!! Many thanks to Susan for all her hard work in making this gift an incredible success!! And of course......the happiest of birthday wishes to Gloria on her special day.
